Hello. My name is Daniel Deitschel and I'm a creative professional in Portland who specializes in web design and front-end web development in Drupal.

I've been a graphic designer for more than 15 years, following the progression from layout design in the mid-1990s to dynamic web design, now on the way to responsive, device-agnostic design. It's been a long and rewarding journey from PowerPoint 95, QuarkXPress and the "primitive" versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and PageMaker to an entirely new era for creative professionals.

For my part I have worked as a freelancer, as an in-house corporate designer (Aramark/ServiceMaster, TransCore), as a creative director and operator of my own design firm (Cosmonaut Creative Media), and, currently, as an agency's senior designer (OakTree Digital).

I can take web sites from conception to completion: planning and discovery, content evaluation, information architecture, wireframing, creative design, copywriting, development, launch, and quality assurance. At Cosmonaut I managed projects and any needed subcontractors for large corporate web site development initiatives.
